How to set up Launchday Lite in Framer
GuideUpdated 4 min read
Launchday Lite is a free one-page launch site for SaaS and AI products. It comes with a hero, a features section, setup steps, a testimonials section, an FAQ and a waitlist form, in light and dark themes, and it is built for desktop, tablet and phone. The live preview is at launchday-lite.framer.website.
The steps below go in this order: copy the project, brand it, write the copy, connect the form, check both themes, then publish. You need a Framer account.
1. Remix the template
Open Launchday Lite on the Framer Marketplace and remix it. Framer copies the whole project into your account, so you can edit it freely and the original stays as it is.
Before you change anything, click through the preview once. The sample product is "Plumbline", a made-up docs tool. Its name and copy, the logo strip and the testimonial quotes are placeholder content for you to replace.
2. Swap in your logo
Replace the sample logo in the navigation and the footer with your own. If your logo has a light and a dark version, keep both handy for step 6.
While you are in the project settings, replace the favicon too. It shows up in browser tabs and bookmarks, and a leftover sample icon is easy to miss.
3. Change the colours and fonts
Set your brand colours and fonts in the project's shared styles rather than on single layers. A change made there carries through every section at once, so the page stays consistent.
Keep contrast in mind. A brand colour that reads well as a button on white may be too dark or too faint on the dark theme. You will check both themes in step 6.
4. Replace the copy
Every section in Lite is one component with its text exposed as properties. Select a section and edit its copy from the properties panel on the right.
Work through the page top to bottom:
- Hero: one headline that says what your product does, and one line that says who it is for.
- Features: what the product does, written as plain statements a buyer can check.
- Setup steps: how someone gets from signup to first use.
- Testimonials: replace the sample quotes with real ones you have permission to use. If you have none yet, delete the section. Do not publish the placeholders.
- FAQ: the questions people ask before joining, such as launch timing, price and platforms.
5. Connect the waitlist form
The waitlist form sends to Framer Forms, and you choose where each submission goes. Set this before you publish.
- Select the form and open its form settings.
- Set the destination: an email address, or a webhook if you collect signups in another tool.
- Publish and submit a test entry with your own email.
- Confirm the entry arrived where you pointed it.
If you do not need a waitlist, delete the "Waitlist banner" and the "Waitlist" section.
6. Check light and dark
Lite opens in the light theme. The toggle in the navigation switches to dark and remembers the visitor's choice. Switch to dark and go through the whole page: your logo, brand colours, screenshots and button text all need to read well on both backgrounds.
Then check the page at phone width. Framer's preview lets you view smaller breakpoints. Look at how the headline wraps, how hero images crop, and whether the form is easy to reach.
7. Set the social preview
When someone shares your link on X, LinkedIn or in a chat app, the preview card is what they see first. In the page or site settings, set:
- A page title with your product name.
- A meta description of one or two sentences.
- A social preview image at 1200x630 pixels, Framer's page social preview size.
Paste the published link into a message to yourself to see how the card looks.
8. Publish and connect a domain
Publish the site. Framer gives you a free framer.website address first.
To use your own domain, add it in the site's domain settings and follow the DNS steps Framer shows you. Check Framer's pricing page for which plan covers custom domains. After the domain connects, submit one more test entry through the live form.
When you need more than one page
Lite covers the waitlist stage on a single page. The full Launchday template adds a code home page (copyable install command, code snippet, GitHub button), one setting that moves the whole site from waitlist to launch day to live, and pricing, changelog, blog, docs quickstart, about, contact and legal pages. It ships by 1 November 2026.
