Privacy Policy

Last updated: Seller: Harjot Singh Rana (Launchday), sole proprietor, Indiasupport@getlaunchday.com

This policy explains what personal data getlaunchday.com ("the Site") collects, why, and what rights you have. Launchday is run by Harjot Singh Rana, an individual in India. For the purposes of data protection law, he is the data controller (in India's terms, the data fiduciary) for the data described below, except where this policy says Creem is.

Contact: support@getlaunchday.com

1. What we collect

Waitlist or contact form. If you join a waitlist or write to us, we collect your email address and any message you type. We use it to send the updates you asked for and to answer you.

Purchases. When you buy a template, you pay on Creem's checkout, not on our Site. Creem collects your payment details, name, email, billing country and the tax information it needs, and sends us the order details we need to support you: your email, name, country and what you bought. We never see your card number.

Usage data. The Site uses PostHog, with data stored in the USA, to see how people use it: page views, clicks, scrolling, referrer, approximate location (country level), browser and device type. A banner asks first. If you accept, PostHog also records your visit so we can see where the page confuses people; anything typed into a form field is masked in those recordings. If you decline, PostHog still counts the visit without cookies, using a hash that changes every day and is not linked to you. We do not build advertising profiles.

Email you send us. If you email support@getlaunchday.com, we keep the conversation so we can help you.

We do not ask for sensitive data and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. The Site is not meant for them.

2. Why we use it

  • To deliver and support your purchase (contract).
  • To send waitlist updates you asked for (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
  • To understand how the Site is used: consent for analytics cookies and recordings, legitimate interests for cookieless visit counts.
  • To keep the Site secure (legitimate interests).
  • To meet legal and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Creem

Creem (creem.io) is the merchant of record for paid orders. For payment data, Creem acts as an independent controller under its own privacy policy, available on creem.io. It processes payments, collects and remits sales tax and VAT, and issues receipts. We receive from Creem only the order details described above.

4. Who else sees your data

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf: Vercel Inc. (hosting, USA), PostHog Inc. (analytics, USA), Resend (the email that delivers your template link, USA), Framer B.V. (the template demo and the Launchday Lite waitlist form, Netherlands), Google LLC (the Gmail inbox we answer support from, USA) and Creem (payments, see section 3). They may be located outside India and outside your country. We share data otherwise only when the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.

5. Cookies

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If you accept analytics cookies in the banner, PostHog sets one first-party cookie, ph_<project>_posthog, and keeps the same ID in your browser's local storage, to recognise a returning browser for up to 1 year. If you decline, PostHog stores nothing except your choice. To change your mind, clear this site's cookies and storage and the banner comes back. Creem's checkout and your browser may set cookies that are needed to run the payment. These are covered by Creem's policy.

6. How long we keep it

  • Waitlist email: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or 24 months after we stop using the list.
  • Order and support records: as long as needed to support you and to meet tax and accounting rules, which can be several years.
  • Analytics: events are kept for the retention period of our PostHog plan. Recordings are deleted after at most 90 days.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
  • correct it or ask us to delete it;
  • object to or restrict how we use it;
  • withdraw consent you gave, for example by unsubscribing from the waitlist;
  • move your data to another service;
  • complain to your local data protection authority.

If you are in the EU, UK or EEA, these rights come from the GDPR or UK GDPR. If you are in California, the CCPA/CPRA gives you rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data. We do not sell or share personal data for advertising. If you are in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you rights to access information about your data, to correct and erase it, to have your grievances answered, and to nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or cannot act for yourself.

To use any right, email support@getlaunchday.com. We reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

8. Grievances

For privacy complaints, write to Harjot Singh Rana, the grievance contact, at support@getlaunchday.com. If we cannot resolve it, you can contact your local data protection authority or, in India, the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational.

9. International transfers

We are in India and our providers may process data in other countries, including the United States and the EU. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the provider's standard contractual clauses.

10. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your data, such as limiting access to the accounts that hold it. No online service is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is material, we will say so on the Site and, if you are on the waitlist, by email.
